Being the mother of a teenager has it's ups and downs. He can run to the store for me, watch the baby if I need him to (bribery involved of course), I can leave him home by himself (for the most part), so when texting with him involves his girlfriend, I tend to get a bit snippy.
We are leaving for SC next weekend for my cousin's graduation. 4 days, that's it. Drive one day, there two and drive home on the fourth day. Really not my idea of fun. We will be staying with my grandparents, so it's going to be cramped quarters as it is.
Let the texting begin.
"Hey you think Kalee could go with us to SC"
"I don't know Matt, we'll discuss this later"
"Mom it's already bad enough i kno you don't like my girlfriend just let her go"
"Being your girlfriend has nothing to do with it. I'll have talk to grandma about it"
"Yes it does. I called grandma and she said she could go"
(Now that just pissed me off to no end)
Back to back texts
"No I want her to go"
"Matt we'll discuss this later"
"Great mom, she is my girlfriend and I want her to go. The only reason you won't talk to grandma is so you can say no"
"Fine, you guys go and I'll stay home"
"Are you serious. You won't go if she goes"
And again (duplicating is a wonderful thing)
"We'll discuss this later"
"You really won't go if she goes"
"It's not that, we don't have room at Nana's"
"I'll talk to you about it when I get home"
"Finally you understand"
The conversation started up again at 10:30pm with a "Buuttttt Moooommmm". I told him if they could go from today until next Tuesday without fighting like they had been married for 20 years...I'll think about it.
Anyone got a padded room for me?

We've headed to the land of 'themed' Haiku's. This week...."Write like the opposite sex". Might be a little difficult but come one...we usually know what they are going to say, we always know what they are thinking and nine times out of ten, we finish their sentences. So I give you this week's first themed Haiku.
Can't hear the baby
Are you sure he is crying
Hey babe you get him
The remote is mine
Even though I'm not watching
Hundreds of channels
For more Haiku's check out here or here
While your checking out...check out Otto Creations

Have chair...will sit
(please?)
This past 2-3 weeks have been nothing but go, go, go. I don't feel that I've sat down for 10 minutes. Where on earth to begin? Lets being on May 1. First day of the month and I loose my job. HA what a way to start off the month. At 8 o'clock in the morning it was a big deal. I think in the first 15 minutes of loosing it I felt every emotion possible; pissed, upset, relieved and everything else rolled into one. At the time it was a bad thing but now I know it's for the better.
Moving on.....Matt, my wonderful oldest child, blew out his knee goofin' off with a friend. He's now been in a locking brace for 3 weeks. He's torn both menisci (the shock absorbers in your knee), his quadrosep (sp) ligament and some other tendon. I was listening to the doctor up until the point she said he had floating cartilage and he'll be having surgery on June 10. He's been doing really good with everything. Physical therapy 3 times a week...make that boy work it.
Moving on yet again....with having this time off, it's really kicked my ass into gear with getting the invitation/announcement site going. I've done great with graduation being right around the corner. I've upgraded the blog to a real name Otto Creations, and things are starting to kick off.
So if you need announcements, invitations, hell...anything to print *insert shameless plug here*, shoot me an email. Everyday I'm adding more and more so always check back to see what's new.

Hell I think that's it for this week....what will next week bring? Hopefully a job.
